Cristiano Ronaldo has officially extended his stay with Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr, signing a lucrative two-year contract that cements his place as one of the highest-paid athletes in the world. The new deal, which runs until June 2027, is estimated to be worth a staggering $245 million per year, pushing the total value of the contract close to $700 million when bonuses and perks are factored in.

At 39, Ronaldo is showing no signs of slowing down. With this extension, he will remain with Al Nassr until he turns 42, defying expectations about the longevity of professional footballers. His commitment not only signals faith in the club but also strengthens Saudi Arabia’s broader goal of elevating its domestic league to global relevance.

Key Elements of the Deal:

Base Salary: $245 million per year — roughly $670,000 per day.

Signing Bonus: Between $34–52 million, depending on performance and tenure.

Equity Stake: Ronaldo will reportedly receive a 15% ownership share in Al Nassr, valued at over $45 million.

Additional Perks: Includes access to a private jet, personal staff of up to 16 members, luxury housing, and performance-based bonuses tied to goals, titles, and awards.

Strategic Move

Despite reported offers from other clubs — including those participating in the upcoming Club World Cup — Ronaldo reaffirmed his loyalty to Al Nassr, stating his desire to leave a legacy in Saudi football. His presence continues to draw international attention to the Saudi Pro League, supporting the country’s Vision 2030 ambitions to expand its cultural and sporting footprint.

In a statement, Ronaldo declared, “Al Nassr forever.” His goal remains clear: win trophies, inspire a new generation of talent, and potentially become the first player to hit 1,000 career goals.

This blockbuster deal not only underscores Ronaldo’s unmatched value as a player and global brand but also reaffirms Saudi Arabia’s ambition to reshape the footballing landscape.
