Anthony Williams, a 32-year-old man from Langford Road, Peterborough, is facing multiple charges following two separate incidents on Saturday, November 1st.
He is charged with 10 counts of attempted murder, one count of actual bodily harm (ABH), and one count of possessing a bladed article in connection with a major incident that occurred on a train at Huntingdon station in Cambridgeshire.
Additionally, British Transport Police added charges related to a separate incident on the same day at Pontoon Dock DLR station in east London: one count of attempted murder and one count of possession of a bladed article. Williams is scheduled to appear at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court this morning, Monday, November 3rd.
The attack occurred on Saturday evening on the typically busy service between the town of Doncaster, in northern England, and King’s Cross station in the capital.
The incident forced the train to stop at Huntingdon station in Cambridgeshire. Police said 10 people were hospitalised, nine of whom were “believed to have suffered life-threatening injuries”.
