The armed conflict in Sudan continues to escalate, with heavy fighting between the Sudanese Army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) devastating major cities. Ceasefire attempts have repeatedly failed, leaving civilians trapped in crossfire and hospitals in crisis.

In Khartoum and Omdurman, medical facilities are overwhelmed or destroyed, with no supplies or electricity. Humanitarian organizations report that doctors are working under extreme conditions, performing surgeries without anesthesia and treating war injuries with limited resources.

The fighting has displaced over 3 million people, with many fleeing to neighboring countries or living in camps without food or clean water. Despite international calls for peace, both factions remain entrenched.

The ongoing war is creating one of the worst humanitarian crises in Africa today, with no end in sight.
