The Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) has officially expelled Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, and eight other notable members due to escalating intra-party conflicts. The expulsions are part of the party’s efforts to address factional disputes and reinforce discipline, but the move has further polarized relations within the party.
Wike’s camp has categorically rejected the expulsion, describing it as unconstitutional and politically motivated. The faction led by Wike claims the decision lacks due process and vows to challenge it legally and politically.
